Monday Miscellaneous!

Happy Monday everyone. A few loose ends to tie up!

--There's a great Lancome giveaway going on at the "Love That Max" blog. This is an amazing blog about "kids with special needs (and the parents who adore them)." It's written by a former magazine editor colleague of mine, so please check out both the giveaway and the blog. (The box above is the prize!)

--Check out the Make Me Over contest. You could win a makeover by the fabulous Michelle Phan plus some fab goodies.

--Purple Flower, you asked if the new Juicy Tubes 100% will be sold in Canada. You are very lucky because Canada is getting both the full-sized Juicy Tubes and the Yayoi Kusama limited-edition minis! We're all moving to Canada.

--Lucy, I'm so jealous you're going to Paris. Is this your first trip? Let us know. If it is, we'll suggest some places to visit. As for Lancome products to pick up, I would get one of the Yayoi Kusama Juicy Tubes, a Juicy Tube Soleil (it's in a yellow tube and it's like liquid Carmex), Hypnose Precious Cells mascara (a European exclusive and a GREAT mascara) and maybe a deoderant or a hair conditioner (in the yellow and white tube. Amazing stuff. Daria and I are addicted to it.). You can find all of this at the Lancome boutique on Faubourg St. Honore. Another great place to visit is the Lancome counter at Le Bon Marche, my favorite Parisian department store.

--Marie, thanks for the great link. Buenos Aires is such a beautiful city. I'm glad the French spirit is alive there.

--And to everyone I bummed out with the Color Design Blush news, I'm sorry! I'm hooked on the mineral blush , above, at the moment. Maybe that could be a good replacement for some of you. I'll report more on that product soon.

Paris When it Sizzles! (Giveaway #2!)

Bonjour, everyone! Great entries for the Tresor in Love giveaway. Thank you! There's still time to enter if you haven't yet. Nancy, sadly, not much time to sit in cafes and we have a shoot everyday. But the weather is beautiful and every cafe with outdoor seating is packed. Also, Atelier Gal, I saw your question. What is BB cream?

We shot this morning at Place de Furstemberg in St. Germain. Our brilliant set director recreated a mini-flower market filled with roses, peonies, lilies and more. It was quite beautiful. (See above.) Dozens of tourists stopped to stare and take pictures. Then I ran to the Lancome boutique on Faubourg St. Honore (above, with picture of Julia Roberts in the window) to see what's new and found lots of products we don't have back in the U.S. I tried to buy the new Hypnose Precious Cells mascara for a blog giveaway, but it's sold out already! Both black and brown are gone. (But they'll be restocking soon.) What else was there? The Yayoi Kusama Juicy Tubes, which I mentioned the other day. They are adorable. I bought one set for a certain Lancome ambassadress who loves the natural formula and another set for a blog giveaway. (Shown above with full-size JT for scale!)

To enter, post whether or not you own a Juicy Tube or Tubes already. If so, what shade? Any random Juicy Tube thought is fine too! Idea for a shade, constructive criticism, all welcome. We'll pick one comment. Please post by Thursday night.

I need to stop here because I have to run to part two of today's shoot. (Actually, part three. A small crew went to the Eiffel Tower to film after the flower scene.) Enjoy the pictures, enter the giveaway and have a beautiful day!

Off to Paris!

Hi, everyone. I'm heading to Paris this weekend to work on some top secret project. (Yes, I will be in BIG TROUBLE if I talk about them.) But they involve photo shoots (hint, hint) in some very pretty locations with some very pretty people.

I'm so happy the volcano mess is cleared up for now. Did any of you get stuck or affected? I hope not.

We'll have some special giveaways on the blog while I'm over there. Hypnose Precious Cells, the "Julia Roberts" mascara, has launched in Europe already, so maybe we'll give that away. (The U.S. will get Definicils Precious Cells soon!) I think the international Summer 2010 collection is different from the U.S. version, so I'll be investigating that too. And then there is the special international Juicy Tubes collection to celebrate the 10th birthday of the world-famous gloss. Did you know it was Juicy Tubes that kicked off the tube gloss phenomenon?

The collection consists of six mini tubes of the Juicy Tubes 100% Natural formula and the amazing Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama created the decoration for the packaging. (I love that we work with so many incredible, unique women, from Julia Roberts to L'Wren Scott to Daria to Yayoi.) Isn't it adorable? The U.S. won't be getting this collection for now. (Sorry, U.S.! You have the 100% formula in full size tubes and four limited edition shades) I promise to bring back a few international sets for a giveaway.

Anyway, have a great weekend and I'll talk to you when I'm in Paris!
