Hi, everyone. I'm at the San Francisco International Airport, waiting for Michelle Phan to arrive from Los Angeles. I flew here last night to beat the snowstorm in New York. Things were crazy at JFK, but I did get to catch up with one of my favorite makeup artists, Alice Lane, who was en route to a Vogue assignment. Remember Alice from our PS1 event? (If no, click here to read about our fun weekend with her.) I love bumping into people at the airport. Reminds you that it's a small world.
Speaking of small world, Michelle and I are flying to Beijing in a few hours for a Lancome trip that includes the China launch of Teint Miracle foundation. Very exciting. I've never been to China before and can't wait to see what it's like. I'm especially curious about the Chinese beauty editors. I wonder what they're like compared to their American counterparts. Lancome China also has a very successful online community called Rose Beauty that I want to learn more about. Do any of you know about that? It doesn't sound similar to anything we have in the U.S., so I'm curious about it.
The China team has a ton of activities planned for us. As long as I can access my Blogger account, I'll post pictures and news about what we're up to. If you have suggestions for things we should see or do in Beijing, please let me know!
After Beijing, we're flying to Hong Kong for a few days to meet with the beauty editors there. If you live in Hong Kong and want to say hi, Michelle will be making a personal appearance at the Lancome boutique at Festival Walk on Jan. 20th from 6 to 8 p.m. Michelle and I would also love suggestions on things to see and do in Hong Kong, so please leave a comment if you have ideas for us.
Michelle's here, so wish us a bon voyage! Talk to you soon.
