An old piece I stumbled upon while organizing sketchbooks.
Thought it might be worth putting up.

Love Approximately: Sisters.
Hi All,
I've been slacking on the posting lately, my apologies.
Just finished up this project with a friend. The long-awaited, Love Approximately book project! A collaboration between my friend Chas and I, the book is essentially a collection of vignettes about love and human experiences with love, loss, and the strikingly similar patterns we all encounter in our romantic endeavors.
I've attached two images from L.A. called: Sisters. The finished (above) is actually not the one we ended up using as we felt the sketch carried a little more weight, and really captured the emotion. The text (missing here) is simply:
"Your sister taught me how to love you."
A beautifully written, and poignant collection, you can check out the whole Love Approximately here.
Enjoy!

Sadie + Trevor

My lovely roomie and her bf Trevor. A little piece for her birthday. I loved the original image, and we'd talked about my painting it at some point, but birthday's are always a good excuse for some artwork. That and (as I teased her about earlier) she's a bit forgetful and would probably not have reminded me to follow through. Hehe. I'm so sneaky. ;)
Or, so I think, anyway...
