Musings on the Train.
I got stuck on the train yesterday for a bit, and usually when that happens I get really antsy and frustrated that I'm not moving. This probably has something to do with the fact that New Yorkers are always in a hurry, myself included.
Anyway, this time I had my sketchbook and a bunch of fresh pens from Muji (They have the best pens!) and I was quite content to just sit and draw people indefinitely.
This in itself was unusual, because although I love drawing people, I typically get a little too self conscious, in public, when I realize they might notice that I'm drawing them. In this case, the girl saw my sketchbook and closed her eyes for almost the whole ride, as if she knew I might want to draw her...almost as if she was posing.
Crazy? Maybe.
