Visual Poetry Opens January 20th At Gallery Hanahou

Visual Poetry-Essence of Fashion Illustration.
Fashion Illustration is Unique. The ideas, practice and concepts that drive this genre of work are not easily defined. Fashion Illustration documents a window in time, presenting trends and fashion through a historical perspective. It revolves around a fascination with the figure, its form, gesture, movement and grace, filtered through the lens of fashion. Traditionally, stylization has been the guiding force behind this fascination, grounded in a foundation of figure drawing and anatomy, revealing the spirit and essence of the figure.
Today, the fascination with the figure and fashion continues, but is now played against a backdrop of new techniques, technologies, and concepts resulting in work that is graphic, dynamic and blurs the boundaries between high and low art. Themes such as abstraction, mythology, and fantasy, whether representational, expressive or minimal are projected through the personal vision of the artist.
It is an exciting period for Fashion Illustration as this genre of art continues to evolve with captivating images that nurture the imagination, grace the page and charm the viewer, in essence visual poetry.

I had the privilege of documenting Ralph Rucci's Spring 2011 Collection. Ralph's salon is a treasure trove of art, sculpture, creativity, inspiration and of course those ethereal creations.

Laura Would Be Jealous

ONLY love dress, karen millen purse, exe shoes
Two months ago, when I got that dress in my hands (mum's purchase), I was instantly like "Sorry mum, but I'm not Laura from The Little House on the Prairie". As a natural consequence, it has been hanging in my closet for more than a month. It was one of these mornings, though, when the eternal style question rised up AGAIN: "What am I going to wear today?". And there it was, silently waiting for my look. I gave it a try and that was it, it looked kinda cute; not to mention its beautiful back. It's like meeting somebody you used to dislike, and after a conversation or two you are ashamed to admit that the certain person is basically a potential friend. Instinct is good, either to clothes or to people, but be sure that you always look twice. (By the way, that was the most easygoing dress I've ever worn.)

Stay Positive,
Froso.
